Kenny Recruit are working with an innovative sustainability-focused business to find a Business Development Manager for one of their growing brands, who has built an impressive reputation within the specialty coffee and hospitality sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-led organisation that is helping businesses reduce waste and adopt more sustainable practices. Reporting to the Head of Sales and working closely with the wider team, you will play a key role in driving the continued growth of the brand across the UK market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, nurturing customer relationships, and increasing brand awareness within the specialty coffee, hospitality, retail and related sectors. This is a highly visible role that combines business development, account management and brand representation, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships and is passionate about sustainability.
Location: London
Working hours: 9.00am – 5.30pm (3 days in office)
Salary: £45 – £55k per annum + commission + benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth for the brand across the UK market, achieving and exceeding individual sales targets
- Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities across specialty coffee, hospitality, retail and related sectors
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with customers and industry partners
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the product range, sustainability proposition and brand values
- Manage proactive sales activity through phone, email, networking events and face-to-face meetings
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales pipeline activity within Pipedrive CRM
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process
- Respond promptly and professionally to inbound enquiries and sales leads
- Plan and prioritise daily sales activities to maximise revenue and business growth opportunities
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, customer service and account management teams to deliver a seamless customer journey
- Represent the company and the wider business at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities
Requirements:
- Proven experience within a sales or business development position, with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets
- Experience within hospitality, retail, specialty coffee or lifestyle brands would be highly advantageous
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team environment
- Excellent organisational, time management and pipeline management abilities
- Experience using CRM systems, with Pipedrive experience beneficial
- Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and objection-handling skills
- Positive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
- A genuine interest in sustainability and environmentally responsible products
- Confident using Microsoft Office and standard business software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
