Business Development Manager Covering London, Essex & Kent
Location: Remote/Field based with occasional travel to client sites and travel to the Head office twice per month (East M4 corridor)
Salary: £40,000–£43,000 basic + commission, OTE £75,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to join a growing services business and help drive new business growth. This is a great opportunity for a proactive sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing opportunities, and closing deals.
The role
You will focus on generating new business, managing inbound enquiries, and converting opportunities into long-term contracts. Working closely with internal teams, you will help ensure smooth onboarding and successful handover from sale through to delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities.
- Qualify inbound leads and book client meetings.
- Carry out site visits, assess requirements, and prepare tailored quotes.
- Manage the sales process from initial contact through to close.
- Handle objections, negotiate pricing, and maximise sales opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with operations to support successful contract mobilisation.
- Keep up to date with market trends and competitor activity
About you
- Proven background in direct sales and business development.
- Experience selling services, ideally in a B2B environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident managing a pipeline and closing deals.
- Self-motivated, tenacious, and comfortable working independently.
- Experience in facilities management, cleaning, education, or healthcare would be an advantage.
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
