C# Developer – Global Investment Management Firm Central London (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
I'm partnering with a leading multinational investment management firm seeking a strong C# Developer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering business-critical platforms.
This role requires someone confident with strong communication skills to engage directly with stakeholders, shaping requirements, and owning delivery end-to-end in a pragmatic, outcomes-focused environment.
What you'll be working on:
- Real-time asset tracking platforms integrating external data sources (e.g. Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Morningstar, market data feeds, pricing & risk engines)
- High-availability, high-quality distributed applications
- Enhancing systems that model financial positions, transactions and flows
- Driving projects from inception through design, build, testing and release
Core requirements:
- Strong C# / .NET development experience
- Microservices – Back-end focus on your skills is a must
- RabbitMQ
- Advanced SQL skills (performance tuning, complex queries, data modelling)
- Azure cloud experience (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, DevOps etc.)
- Experience building highly available, resilient systems
- Excellent communication skills – able to engage directly with business users
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership & initiative
Desirable:
- Angular or another modern JavaScript framework
- Financial services exposure – especially Wealth / Investment Management
- Experience within Agile/Jira environments (pragmatic delivery mindset essential)
