Job Title: C# .NET Developer
Location: Bromley & London – Hybrid (3 days in office is essential)
Contract: 12 months with possible extension for one more year.
Rate: £700 – £750 inside umbrella.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced C# .NET Developer to develop, enhance, and support a suite of critical business applications built on modern Microsoft technologies, including .NET 6 and .NET 8.
The successful candidate will work within a globally distributed development team, collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders across the UK (London, Bromley, Camberley) and internationally (Singapore, India, New York, and Chicago). The role offers the opportunity to contribute to business-critical systems while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using C# and .NET technologies.
- Support and improve existing business-critical systems, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability.
- Work closely with business users, analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Collaborate with globally distributed development teams across multiple locations and time zones.
- Contribute to technical discussions, solution design, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and database-related issues.
Required Technical Skills
Core Development
- Strong experience with:
- C# development
- .NET 6.0 / .NET 8.0
- .NET Core
- .NET Framework 4.7+
Web & API Development
- Experience designing and developing Web Services, including:
- REST APIs
- SOAP Services
- Strong understanding of API design principles and documentation standards.
- ASP.NET MVC 5
- ASP.NET Web API 2
Front-End Development
- Angular (v2+)
- JavaScript
Data & Persistence
- Experience with ORM frameworks such as:
- Entity Framework
- NHibernate
- Dapper
- Database development and support experience with:
- Microsoft SQL Server (2008+)
- IBM DB2
