We are seeking an experienced, warm and proactive Cantonese-speaking nanny to join our family and care for two young children aged 4 and 1.5 in a long-term role.
This is primarily a childcare-focused position with cooking responsibilities for the children and light household support related to them. The ideal candidate will be energetic, highly engaged, organised and passionate about early childhood development and Cantonese language enrichment.
Responsibilities
- Full weekday childcare (Monday-Friday, 9am-7pm)
- Nursery/school pickup for the children in local area
- Planning engaging age-appropriate activities
- Supporting routines including meals, naptime for younger child, bath time and bedtime preparation
- Cooking healthy meals for the children
- Supporting potty training for younger child
- Taking children to local activities such as music classes or football
- Maintaining and deepening Cantonese fluency through: generally communicating with the children only in Cantonese, reading and storytelling, poetry and song, counting and writing practice, arts, painting and crafts, cooking and active play
- Light housework relating to the children: wiping down surfaces after eating etc
- Occasional paid evening babysitting/overtime to be agreed in advance
Ideal Candidate
- Native or fluent Cantonese speaker
- Significant nanny or early years experience
- Confident caring for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ideally with experience taking sole charge of 2 children
- Warm, energetic and highly proactive
- Interest in education, creativity and child development
- Comfortable working collaboratively with parents
- Comfortable with dogs – we have a friendly pet cocker spaniel
- Practicalities: Live-out but would consider live-in (private bedroom with own bathroom and entrance available).

- Salary: £50,000-£65,000 GPA
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 9am-7:00pm
- Start Date: ASAP
- Travel: Yes, occasional
