About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Caretaker to join a busy and supportive Estates Team based in Ipswich.
This is a key role where you’ll contribute directly to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all site users.
Working closely with the Premises Manager and Estates Team, you will help ensure full compliance with Health and Safety regulations while maintaining the site to a high standard.
This role operates on a rotating shift pattern, with full details discussed and agreed at interview.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and manage general maintenance and repairs across the site
- Oversee contractors and ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Support the setup and smooth running of events and site activities
- Manage waste and recycling processes effectively
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date health & safety and compliance records
- Contribute to ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone who:
- Has experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or facilities role
- Is proactive, reliable, and takes pride in their work
- Has a good understanding of (or willingness to learn) health & safety compliance
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Is flexible and adaptable to a rotating shift pattern
