RM Recruit are working with a fantastic business based in Walsall who are on the lookout for an interim Caretaker for circa 2 months with a view for extension.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a forward thinking organisation where duties include:
- Assisting in the effective implementation of the grounds maintenance service
- General maintenance of the grounds on the estate
- General inspections and dealing with and reporting fly tipping, vandalism, graffiti, fire integrity etc.
- Ensure that all designated areas are maintained and kept to a high standard.
- Provide comprehensive, proactive and efficient support to the management team, ensuring all agreed timescales and service standards are achieved
- Responsible for weeding, pruning, hedge trimming, borders, watering, mowing of the lawns and other duties for the general maintenance of the grounds on the estate.
- Maintain benches, pathways, fences, trees, signage and identify any health and safety hazards. Report any hazards to the Estate Coordinator
- Maintain grounds by trimming and weeding as required.
- Keep the gardens and footpaths clear and free from litter at all times.
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery is maintained and in good repair.
- Ensure all equipment, machinery are stored securely and clean after use. Report any faulty equipment to the Estate Co-ordinator.
As the ideal candidate, you will be available immediately and you must have experience in undertaking gardening/grounds maintenance work, knowledge of horticultural, awareness of current health & safety regulations and carry out basic DIY. You will ideally have access to a car and be confident in your approach
