Right Now Group are recruiting for a Cargo Agent to join our client, a large cargo ground handler at Heathrow!
You will be joining a fast paced office environment alongside the clients airline partners, ensuring their cargo is delivered safely and securely around the world!
Responsibilities of a Cargo Agent:
- You will be required to create and update records of all consignments in the airline computer systems.
- Separate and distribute cargo documents according to airline requirements.
- You will be also expected to serve customers collecting cargo including taking payments of charges.
- Operate a telephone system in a polite and efficient manner.
- You will liaise with warehouse staff and drivers as appropriate and be responsible for checking dangerous goods to IATA and AVI checks.
Skills required to be a Cargo Agent:
- Great Communication skills via email, telephone and in person.
- Basic computer skills are essential as you will be operating and using a variety of systems.
- Previous office experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Fluent in speaking and writing in English is essential.
- We will need to be able to complete Pre-employment checks. This will include a 5 year checkable employment / education history, DBS check (criminal record check).
Additional Information:
- Location: Feltham
- Hours: You will be required to work a shift pattern consisting of 4 on 4 off.
- x2 days 07:00 – 19:00 / x2 nights 19:00 – 07:00
- Salary: £30,000 -£31,000 This will be dependent on experience.
- Bonus: Attendance Bonus paid end of the year
