Role Overview
Hosuing company are seeking an experienced carpenter to join their team on a busy new-build housing development. You'll be responsible for a mix of 1st fix, 2nd fix, and finishing carpentry, working to high standards across residential plots.This role suits someone who takes pride in quality construction, can work independently, and is confident in delivering tasks to programme deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- 1st Fix Carpentry – studwork, joists, door linings, flooring
- 2nd Fix Carpentry – doors, skirting, architrave, window boards
- Finishing works – snagging, adjustments, final fit
- Plot progression – supporting the site team to keep units on schedule
- General carpentry duties as directed by site management
Requirements
- Valid CSCS card
- Proven experience as a carpenter on new-build housing sites
- Full carpentry tool kit
- Ability to read drawings and work to specification
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality construction
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work safely on a live construction site
