MLC Partners are proud to be supporting a leading Children's Hospice Charity in the appointment of an Events Fundraiser.
Supporting hundreds of families across London and the South East, our client provides specialist care and support to children and young people with life-limiting conditions, as well as their families. Their services make a life-changing difference, and fundraising plays a critical role in ensuring this support remains available when it is needed most.
This is an exciting interim opportunity for an experienced fundraiser or events professional to join a growing team and take ownership of a portfolio of challenge and third-party fundraising events.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Events Manager, you will lead on a number of established challenge events, delivering exceptional supporter experiences and helping to grow participation, income and long-term supporter engagement.
You'll be responsible for managing events from planning through to delivery, creating engaging stewardship journeys and working closely with internal teams and external partners to maximise fundraising success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of challenge and third-party fundraising events.
- Develop and deliver recruitment and marketing plans to maximise participation.
- Create engaging supporter stewardship journeys that drive fundraising income and retention.
- Coordinate event logistics and support event delivery, including occasional weekend and evening attendance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with supporters, suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Use data and insights to identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate supporter records and ensure compliance with fundraising and data protection regulations.
About You
We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Experience delivering fundraising events, challenge events or supporter engagement campaigns.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience coordinating marketing, stewardship or participant engagement activities.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence using CRM systems and reporting tools
