Join our dedicated team in Children’s Services at Blackpool, where we put families, children, and young people at the heart of everything we do. We are currently seeking five passionate and experienced Social Workers for our BFS Teams, committed to making a significant positive impact on the lives of children and their families.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Undertake pre-birth assessments, child protection, complex child in need, and PLO/Pre-proceedings.
• Deliver high-quality work, including court statements and assessments.
• Mentor and coach less experienced team members, providing learning opportunities, reflection, and modelling.
• Maintain face-to-face interactions with families and children as required, with a minimum of 2 days on-site work per week.
• Manage caseloads effectively, with support during the transition phase to ensure a thorough understanding of each case.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in social work, specifically within children's services.
• Knowledge and experience in handling pre-birth assessments, child protection, and related fields.
• Ability to produce high-quality documentation for court proceedings.
• Strong mentoring and leadership skills to guide less experienced social workers.
• Commitment to professional development and maintaining high standards of practice.
