Social Worker – Children Looked After Team
- Contract Type: Temporary (3 months, with potential extension)

Join our dynamic and fast-paced Children Looked After team in Bury, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and care leavers up to the age of 18. This role offers a supportive environment with limited out-of-borough travel required, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality care and support.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work closely with looked after children and care leavers, providing robust care planning and safety planning.
- Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in child protection and welfare.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of service strategies and objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of care planning and safety planning for looked after children.
- Preferable experience working with children and care leavers up to the age of 18.
- Relevant qualifications as per the Job Description and Person Specification (JDPS).
- Ability to provide a 5-year employment history with explanations for any gaps.
