Here at GXO Logistics, we have an exciting position for a full-time, permanent Class 1 driver to work,Monday to Friday, joining our delivery team for our customer in Blackburn, BB2 7FS.
As a class 1 driver you will be responsible for the collection and delivery of small to large high-value consignments that require special handling conditions. Within this role you will transport assets for our aerospace customer within the UK and Europe when required. This would be a great opportunity for any HGV driver looking to develop themselves within a unique operation.
In accordance with National Security Requirements all roles related to this site and contract are subject to the successful candidate achieving suitable personal security clearance.
You will be contracted to work Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, with the start time 07:00 to 16:30

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Carry out inter-site and intra-site deliveries and collections across the Northwest, with occasional nationwide and international work including regular nights away from home
- Work as part of a double-manned driving team
- Provide a high standard of customer service, consistently meeting customer expectations
- Accurately complete and return all required documentation at the end of each shift
- Comply fully with driving hours regulations, legislation, and company policies
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Hold a valid Class 1 licence with full DCPC qualification and an in-date passport
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with a responsible, reliable, and professional attitude
- Be flexible with working hours, including overtime, nights out, and weekends plus international work when required all in line with WTD and EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations
- Multi-drop, deliveries, collections experience is desirable
- No more than 6 current penalty points: No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
