SWRP are recruiting on behalf of a client within the general haulage sector for a Class 1 (C+E) Lorry Driver to join their team in Peteborough covering a nationwide routes. While we typically specialise in office-based roles, we are supporting this requirement following a successful placement of an Administrator within the business.
The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering goods across the UK, covering routes from Scotland down to Cornwall. This role offers a mix of work, with tramping opportunities available alongside general long-distance driving, offering flexibility depending on your preferences.
Working Monday to Friday, with optional weekend overtime, you'll be part of a fast-paced and supportive haulage operation with varied routes and loads.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out nationwide deliveries in a Class 1 vehicle
- Transport a variety of goods including pallets, food, machinery, packaging, and chemicals
- Secure loads safely using straps (no handballing required)
- Complete vehicle checks and maintain delivery documentation
- Provide a professional and reliable service at delivery locations
About You
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous experience in a similar driving role
- Comfortable with tramping and/or long-distance driving
- ADR licence advantageous but not essential
- Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
