Class 1 HGV Shunter – Wakefield
Location: Wakefield
Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off
Hours: 06:00 – 18:00
Pay Rate: £15.00 – £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 HGV Shunter to join a well-established and growing operation based in Wakefield.
This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for a site-based role with no road work involved, offering excellent work-life balance on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
The Role
- Shunting trailers around a busy distribution site
- Moving vehicles safely between loading bays and designated areas
- Conducting vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Working closely with warehouse and transport teams
- Ensuring all site safety procedures are followed
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous shunting experience preferred, but not essential
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
