Class 2 Driver – Ongoing Work

Pay Rate: £16.82 per hour, plus holiday pay
Start Time: 6:00am
Average Shift: Approximately 9.25 hours after breaks
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays when required

We are recruiting two reliable Class 2 Drivers to join a large, well-established construction materials company based in Angerstein, Southeast London.
The company supplies materials such as aggregates, concrete and other essential products to construction projects and commercial customers across London and the surrounding areas.
This is consistent, ongoing work offering early starts, regular weekday hours and additional Saturday earning opportunities.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00am start
- Average shift of approximately 9.25 hours after breaks
- Alternate Saturday shifts may be required
- Saturday hours are approximately 6:00am to 12:00pm
- Saturday shifts are paid as eight hours
Main Responsibilities
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally
- Delivering construction materials to customer and project sites
- Following planned routes and instructions from the transport team
- Completing daily vehicle and safety checks
- Ensuring loads and equipment are handled safely
- Completing delivery paperwork and vehicle documentation
- Communicating with customers, site teams and transport management
- Following site traffic-management procedures
- Complying with Driver's Hours and Working Time regulations
- Following all company health, safety and environmental procedures
- Representing the company professionally when completing deliveries
Driver Requirements
- Valid UK Category C/Class 2 driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous commercial Class 2 driving experience
- Good understanding of vehicle checks and driver compliance
- Comfortable delivering to construction and industrial sites
- Strong awareness of health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Good communication and customer-service skills
Previous experience delivering aggregates, concrete or other construction materials would be advantageous, although full site and role-specific training will be provided.
