Our client, a specialised independent garage based in Brands Hatch, Kent, is seeking a highly skilled Classic Car Technician & MOT Tester to join their dedicated team. Duties of a Classic Car Technician & MOT Tester:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing on all makes and models, emphasising classic cars
- Conduct MOT inspections within a dedicated MOT bay
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools
- Assist with restoration projects, crash repairs, and preparation for motorsport
- Interact directly with customers for booking, invoicing, and discussing repairs
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
- Contribute to specialised tasks such as metal work and restoration components
Requirements of a Classic Car Technician & MOT Tester:
- Proven experience as a Classic Car Technician & MOT Tester or similar role
- Confidence working with historic and high-value vehicles, including Lotus, Triumphs, and Caterhams
- Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with customers
- Full UK driving licence with a clean record
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to develop further skills within a specialised industry
- Experience with diagnostics, general maintenance, and MOT testing is essential
- Formal qualifications are not mandatory, as comprehensive training is provided
