Cleaning Supervisor
Location: Thurrock – Food Court
Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, 1:30pm – 10:00pm (36.5 hours per week)
Salary: £32,250 per annum
We are looking for a confident and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at a shopping centre in Thurrock, for this newly created role. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the cleaning operation within the busy food court, leading and supporting a dedicated team to deliver the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service.
The Role
As Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the food court cleaning team, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. You will play a key role in motivating your team, maintaining excellent communication, and creating a positive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the food court cleaning team on a daily basis.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the food court.
- Allocate workloads and monitor performance.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members.
- Carry out quality checks and ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
- Liaise with management and respond promptly to operational requirements.
About You
We're looking for someone who is an effective people manager with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will have:
- Previous supervisory or management experience.
- The ability to motivate, support, and lead a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
- A commitment to delivering high standards.
A background in the cleaning industry would be advantageous, but it is not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate who has strong leadership experience and the ability to manage and develop a team.
