A leading global investment management organisation is seeking an experienced Client Service Operations specialist to join its client servicing function. This is an excellent opportunity for a client-focused professional with strong experience managing separate (segregated) account transitions across institutional clients.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the full lifecycle of client transition activity, working closely with internal stakeholders, clients, custodians, consultants and other external parties to deliver a seamless onboarding, transition and termination experience. This role requires a combination of project management expertise, technical operational knowledge and exceptional client relationship skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end execution of client separate (segregated) account onboarding, transition and termination activities across institutional client mandates.
- Coordinate legal, operational, compliance, investment and transitional workstreams to ensure successful implementation of client requirements.
- Act as a key operational contact for clients and external counterparties throughout transition projects and mandate changes.
- Facilitate and lead cross-functional project meetings, ensuring clear governance, accountability and delivery against agreed timelines.
- Identify, assess and mitigate operational risks throughout the transition lifecycle.
- Review and coordinate contractual documentation, investment management agreements and related supplemental agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage complex client change events, ensuring a high standard of service and communication at all stages.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to enhancements in processes, controls, technology and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain procedural documentation, best practices and knowledge-sharing frameworks.
- Act as a subject matter expert for client transitions and segregated account operations, supporting team development and capability building.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing the onboarding, transition and termination of separate (segregated) accounts within asset management or institutional investment management.
- Strong understanding of institutional investment operations, client onboarding, custody arrangements and investment mandate implementation.
- Demonstrable project management experience, including managing multiple stakeholders and complex workstreams simultaneously.
- Experience reviewing and coordinating investment management agreements and related client documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and senior internal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for process improvement and operational excellence.
