Penrose Veterinary Group
We are looking for a Client Services Advisor to join our team at Penrose Veterinary Group in Colchester.
For over 35 years, we've combined a strong focus on clinical excellence with exceptional patient care. We're proud of the experienced team we've built and the collaborative culture we've created. You'll be joining a practice where people are encouraged to contribute, develop and make a meaningful difference every day.
As part of Kin Vet Community, a small collective of like-minded community veterinary practices, we benefit from the support, shared expertise and collaborative approach that comes from working alongside teams who share our commitment to exceptional veterinary care.
Whilst every practice retains its own culture, leadership and way of working, being part of Kin Vet creates greater opportunities to learn from one another, invest in our people and facilities, and continue evolving the services we provide to pets and their owners.
The Opportunity
As a Client Services Advisor, you'll be an essential part of the Penrose team, providing a warm and professional welcome to our clients and their pets.
You'll be the first point of contact for many of our clients, helping to create a positive experience from the moment they call or walk through the door. Working closely with our veterinary surgeons, nurses and wider reception team, you'll play an important role in keeping the practice running smoothly.
This is a varied role, perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Welcoming clients and patients into the practice with a friendly and compassionate approach
- Managing a high volume of incoming telephone calls and client enquiries
- Booking appointments and supporting effective diary management
- Processing invoices and payments accurately
- Assisting with outstanding balance queries
- Providing administrative support with insurance claims and healthcare plans
- Supporting the wider reception and clinical teams to ensure excellent client care
- Maintaining a high standard of organisation within a busy front-of-house environment
About You
We are looking for someone who is approachable, organised and passionate about providing outstanding service.
You will ideally have:
- Excellent customer service skills
- A friendly and professional manner
- Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone
- The ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- A positive attitude and a genuine desire to support your team
Previous experience in reception, customer service, veterinary or healthcare environments would be beneficial, but it is not essential. We value attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Why Join Penrose Veterinary Group?
At Penrose, you'll be joining a supportive and experienced team where collaboration and excellent care are at the heart of everything we do.
You'll benefit from:
- Being part of a friendly and welcoming reception team
- Working alongside experienced veterinary professionals
- A varied role where no two days are the same
- The opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients and their pets
- Development opportunities within veterinary client services
- Exposure to insurance administration and healthcare plans
- Supportive and approachable leadership
- The opportunity to join a respected, established first-opinion practice
