Are you an experienced CNC Milling Setter Operator looking to work with advanced machinery in a high-quality manufacturing environment?
We’re partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturer who is looking to strengthen their team with a skilled operator capable of setting, programming and running CNC milling machines.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for producing precision-engineered components to exact specifications, ensuring all work meets high quality standards and customer deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting, programming and operating CNC Milling machines
- Working with Doosan, Brother and Matsuura 5-axis machines
- Manufacturing components in line with production plans and customer requirements
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and tolerances
- Carrying out first-off and in-process inspection
- Setting tooling, adjusting offsets, and optimising machine performance
- Completing route cards and quality documentation
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient working environment
About You
We’re looking for a detail-focused and proactive individual who takes pride in producing high-quality work.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a CNC Milling Setter/Operator (5-axis desirable)
- Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, calipers)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently
Candidates with CNC turning or sliding head experience (e.g. Nakamura / Citizen) who are keen to transition into milling will also be considered.
