The Role: CNC Turner
Salary: £38,885 – £41,132
Shifts: Various Shift Patterns
Overview: As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of CNC Lathes, ensuring components are manufactured to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC Lathes to manufacture precision components
- Read and Interpret engineering drawings
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work routines to meet production targets
- Carry out Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to maintain equipment performance
- Conduct inspections using CMM and manual measuring tools
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Experience & Qualifications:
- Essential:
- CNC Turner and manual turning
- Proficiency with measuring equipment (e.g., Verniers, Gauges, Micrometers)
- Ability to interpret SOPs, technique sheets, drawings, and specifications
- Relevant CNC operation qualifications or extensive industry experience
- Desirable:
- Experience in the aerospace or a similar high-precision industry
- Knowledge of HSE principles, SOP development, and basic Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies
