CNC Turner – Programmer, Setter & Operator (Fanuc & Manual Guide) Permanent | 4-Day Week | Poole
About the Company An established and growing sub-contract precision engineering business based in Poole, operating from a recently refurbished factory. The company is a close-knit team that specialises in delivering high-quality precision engineering services across a broad range of materials and industries. The Role Due to continued success, our client is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner – Programmer, Setter & Operator to join their team. The successful candidate will work across a varied range of materials and components in a fast-paced subcontracting environment. Key responsibilities include: Sub-contract precision engineering across mild steel, stainless steel, super duplex, brass, aluminium, and plastic Programming, setting, and operating Fanuc & Manual Guide CNC multi-axis lathes Manufacturing quantities ranging from prototypes through to medium batch runs Inspecting your own work to ensure quality standards are met Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
The Ideal Candidate Minimum 5 years' industry experience in a subcontracting environment, with familiarity of frequent daily job changes Strong programming experience on CNC multi-axis lathes (Fanuc & Manual Guide) Experience operating CNC lathes with a bar feed system Ability to change and reset machines multiple times per day, independently High attention to detail – capable of detailed deburring and conducting first-off inspections using verniers, thread gauges, micrometres, and similar equipment Demonstrates reliability, proactivity, and loyalty Organised and able to multitask, managing two machines simultaneously
Salary & Package Salary: Up to £43,000 depending on skill level, plus overtime at 1.5x and profit-related bonus Full pay review after 3 months with increase based on ability Annual salary reviews Annual bonus potential (based on individual performance and company profit) 3% contributory workplace pension 32 days annual leave including bank holidays, with option to purchase up to 1 additional week per year Sick pay after 2 years' service On-site and external training and development
Hours Full time, Permanent – 4 days per week Monday to Thursday, 6:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours)
