We are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to act as a strategic link between Finance and Network Operations within a large recruitment business.
This highly visible role will partner with multiple stakeholders across sales teams and central support functions, using financial and non-financial data to provide insight, challenge performance, and drive operational excellence. The successful candidate will leverage current information and continuously develop new perspectives to support decision-making and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the link between Finance and Operations, translating financial data into clear insights that support decision-making.
- Deliver analysis using financial and operational metrics to identify profitability drivers and performance improvements.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business, influencing decisions and providing constructive challenge.
- Produce management reporting, performance packs, and variance analysis, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- Support commercial activities including pricing, contract negotiations, and client profitability analysis.
- Ensure data accuracy, analyse trends, and highlight risks and opportunities.
- Develop KPI dashboards and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance.
- Drive continuous improvements in reporting, processes, and analytical insight.
- Support month-end close, ensuring timely and accurate financial outputs.
Skills & Experience Required
- Ideally a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), a strong part qualified candidate would be considered.
- Strong experience in business partnering within a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interpret and present both financial and non-financial data effectively.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a commercial mindset.
- Experience in period-end processes, managing a P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and data accuracy reviews.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Workday experience desirable.
- Knowledge and experience of Power BI desirable.
