Commercial Underwriter

As a Commercial Underwriter you will:
- Drive regional growth by hitting income, profit and performance targets
- Manage a portfolio of broker accounts, balancing strong relationships with commercial discipline
- Underwrite new business, renewals and mid-term changes within agreed authority levels
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key brokers to strengthen market presence
- Deliver against premium and loss ratio targets while keeping an eye on long-term profitability
- Ensure all documentation, surveys and reporting are accurate and up to date
- Review cases to maintain underwriting quality and consistency
As a Commercial Underwriter you will have:
- At least 2 years' experience in commercial underwriting or broking
- Strong track record of managing and growing broker relationships
- Confident negotiator with a sharp eye for risk and pricing
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance growth and profitability
- Consistent delivery against targets and objectives
- Comfortable working across teams in a collaborative environment
- Solid understanding of the insurance market and trading dynamics
