Compliance Assistant
Location: Birmingham (Office Based – 5 Days per Week)
Salary: Up to £27,000 DOE
The Role
An excellent opportunity to join a well-established law firm as a Compliance Assistant. You’ll support the client onboarding process, ensuring all new matters are opened accurately and in line with compliance regulations.
Training will be provided in:
- SRA compliance
- AML checks
- KYC and ID verification
- Legal onboarding procedures
Previous compliance or legal administration experience would be highly beneficial!
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting fee earners with client onboarding and matter setup
- Completing AML, KYC, ID, and conflict checks
- Carrying out searches and maintaining accurate records
- Setting up entities within the case management system
- Monitoring tasks and chasing outstanding information
- Responding to internal and client queries
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in compliance, onboarding, or administration
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proactive and willing to learn
