Compliance Officer – Fire Safety

Here at Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA), we have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team as a Compliance Contracts Officer.
Our team plays a vital role in ensuring our homes meet all fire safety and regulatory standards, helping to keep our customers safe. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will support the delivery of fire compliance across our housing portfolio.
What you’ll be doing
As a Compliance Contracts Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing fire safety programmes, including Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Door Inspections
- Monitoring compliance activity and ensuring works are completed within required timescales
- Logging, maintaining, and managing compliance records in line with policy and regulation
- Identifying and escalating risks or instances of non-compliance
- Supporting procurement and contract management processes
- Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring service standards are met
- Carrying out pre- and post-inspections of compliance works
- Supporting wider maintenance and refurbishment works linked to fire safety
Working pattern
- 35 hours per week
- Monday to Friday (core daytime hours)
- Flexible and hybrid working opportunities
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a fire compliance or housing compliance role
- Knowledgeable in the ‘Big 6’ areas of compliance
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
- Able to analyse information, apply policy, and make sound decisions
- A confident communicator who can work effectively with a range of stakeholders
- A full UK driving licence is required
