Compliance Surveillance Analyst
Contract Type: Temporary (9 months)
Working Pattern: Full Time, hybrid, working 3 days in the office Monday – Friday 40 hrs per week
Location: Belfast
Pay per day: £145 umbrella
As a Compliance Surveillance Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organisation's integrity. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the review and analysis of surveillance alerts related to firm, employee, and client trading activities.
- Documenting the review and disposition of exceptions while escalating matters appropriately.
- Gathering and analysing trade data to support responses to inquiries from governmental and regulatory bodies.
- Communicating surveillance findings to management clearly and concisely.
- Collaborating with various internal partners, including Assurance, Internal Audit, and Legal.
- Handling hotline inquiries and performing data entry as needed.
- Assessing risk with every business decision to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous relevant experience in compliance or risk management.
- Some knowledge of compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks, and typologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude, with the flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
