Computer Science Teacher
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dynamic and innovative Computer Science Teacher for an Ofsted Good Secondary School in Kent. The school is a medium-sized mainstream secondary with a forward Computer Science department that embraces creativity, problem and emerging technologies.
With strong leadership and a commitment to digital literacy, the school continues to grow and invests heavily in CPD, including training in programming pedagogy, AI literacy, and digital safety. Although the school has a thriving 6th Form, this role will primarily focus on Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Computer Science. including Python programming, algorithms, computational thinking, and digital systems.
The position is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers. Strong performance may lead to an extension or a permanent role.
CONTRACT DETAILS Location Kent Position Computer Science Teacher Type of work KS3/KS4 Computer Science Class Teacher Contract start date 02/09/2026 – Duration ongoing – Contract end date ongoing – Contract type Permanent – Hours Full time, 8:00am4:00pm + parents evenings – Minimum rate of pay GBP 176 per day
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS or equivalent Minimum 1 year of Computer Science teaching experience in the UK – Up to date Safeguarding training (within the last 12 months)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: – Hold Right to Work in the UK – Hold an enhanced childlist DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one – Provide two professional child references covering the last 2 years
