A highly regarded and rapidly expanding London Market broker is seeking an experienced Contract Wording Specialist to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside dedicated wording professionals within a dynamic and collaborative environment, supporting both insurance and facultative reinsurance placements.Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and deliver insurance and reinsurance contracts that accurately reflect negotiated terms and conditions.
- Ensure all contract documentation is completed and issued within agreed timeframes.
- Amend and update contractual documentation throughout the lifecycle of placements, ensuring consistency and accuracy at all stages.
- Work closely with brokers, underwriters and other stakeholders to obtain the information required to produce comprehensive and accurate contract wordings.
- Provide informed recommendations on contractual language and identify potential issues where appropriate.
- Interpret contract language and ensure documentation reflects the intent of negotiations.
- Proactively suggest wording improvements and coverage enhancements where suitable.
- Identify and escalate potential coverage concerns and contractual risks.
- Participate in discussions with clients, markets and colleagues in a professional and consultative manner.
- Utilise strong drafting and communication skills to facilitate efficient contract negotiation and execution.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 4 years' experience drafting and reviewing insurance and/or facultative reinsurance contracts.
- Strong understanding of Market Reform Contracts and London Market documentation standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving market environment.
Reporting Line
- Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
