An rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lender-Only Conveyancer within a specialist team acting exclusively for lender clients, offering a focused and process-driven environment with a strong pipeline of work.
The Opportunity
This position offers the chance to work on equity release and lender-only conveyancing matters, handling transactions from a lender perspective rather than acting for individual buyers or sellers.
You will play a key role in ensuring that transactions progress efficiently and in full compliance with lender requirements. Working within a structured and supportive team, you will be responsible for reviewing titles, raising enquiries, and ensuring all conditions are satisfied prior to the release of funds.
This is a fast-paced, high-volume role suited to someone who enjoys technical conveyancing work, attention to detail and working to defined service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake title checks in line with lender client requirements, raising enquiries and identifying issues to report
- Review mortgage offers and issue relevant documentation to borrowers’ solicitors
- Ensure all lender-specific conditions and requirements are satisfied prior to completion
- Liaise with internal technical teams on more complex matters, following guidance where required
- Check all documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Manage correspondence efficiently in line with service level agreements
- Liaise with borrowers’ solicitors to resolve enquiries and progress matters to completion
- Provide timely and accurate updates to lender clients, responding to queries as required
- Review pre-completion searches and confirm all requirements are met
- Handle the drawdown and release of funds
The Candidate
This role would suit a detail-oriented conveyancer with experience in lender work or equity release, who is comfortable working in a structured, high-volume environment.
Key requirements:
- Previous experience handling equity release matters (essential)
- Strong understanding of lender requirements within conveyancing transactions
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage a high-volume caseload
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Confident working independently as well as part of a team
- Comfortable liaising with both internal stakeholders and external solicitors
- Good understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
