A well-established law firm in Solihull is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy Residential Property department. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to support experienced fee earners while gaining exposure to a wide range of residential conveyancing transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Providing administrative and legal support to conveyancing fee earners.
Opening new client files and carrying out compliance and identification checks.
Preparing and issuing client care documentation.
Requesting searches and obtaining title documentation.
Drafting routine correspondence and legal documents.
Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and solicitors.
Maintaining and updating case management systems.
Assisting with exchanges, completions, and post-completion matters.
Managing diaries, appointments, and key transaction deadlines.
Handling telephone enquiries and providing regular progress updates to clients.
Requirements
Previous experience in a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant, or similar support role.
Understanding of the residential conveyancing process.
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and client care abilities.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and case management systems.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
