A highly respected, independent mid-tier accountancy and advisory firm based in Manchester is seeking an experienced Corporate Finance Director to join its growing team.
With an established reputation for delivering high-quality advisory services to owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and private equity-backed clients, the firm has built a strong presence across the North West. As part of its continued growth strategy, it is looking to appoint a commercially minded Corporate Finance Director who can play a pivotal role in both originating and delivering new business opportunities.
What you will be doing as a Corporate Finance Director
- Originate new corporate finance opportunities through networking, relationship building and business development activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, banks, private equity houses, legal advisers and other professional introducers.
- Lead and manage corporate finance transactions from initial engagement through to successful completion.
- Advise clients on strategic growth, acquisitions, disposals, valuations and capital raising.
- Prepare and present high-quality proposals, pitches and presentations to prospective clients.
- Support the development and execution of the firm's corporate finance growth strategy.
- Lead, mentor and develop junior members of the team.
- Work collaboratively with partners across tax, audit and business advisory to identify cross-referral opportunities.
- Represent the firm at networking events, seminars and within the wider business community.
What you will need to succeed as a Corporate Finance Director
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Significant corporate finance experience gained within an accountancy practice or advisory firm.
- Proven track record of originating, winning and successfully delivering corporate finance mandates.
- Strong technical expertise across M&A, disposals, acquisitions, fundraising and wider corporate finance advisory services.
- Commercially minded with excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to develop lasting client and introducer networks.
- An established Corporate Finance Director or an ambitious Associate Director ready to step into a Director-level role.
- A confident leader with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for business development, team development and delivering outstanding client service.
