Description
- Prepare and analyse cost reports to provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Collaborate with various departments to monitor budgets and control expenditure.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and update cost accounting systems and procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and present recommendations to management.
- Assist in financial forecasting and planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis as required.
Profile
A successful Cost Management Accountant should have:
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Experience in cost management and financial reporting within a relevant industry.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
