MPJ Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a growing and forward-thinking law firm to recruit an experienced Costs Draftsperson.

The Role
As a Costs Draftsperson, you’ll play a key role in maximising costs recovery and supporting fee earners across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting Bills of Costs, Points of Dispute, and Replies
- Preparing both fixed costs and multi-track bills
- Negotiating settlements with opponents and insurers
- Assisting with detailed assessment proceedings
- Advising fee earners on costs strategy and recovery
- Managing deadlines and ensuring compliance with CPR requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a legal costs role
- Strong knowledge of CPR and costs procedures
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload independently
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience in personal injury or civil litigation (desirable)
