Academics LTD is working with a number of excellent secondary schools in and around Reading, all seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join them ASAP. We're looking for proactive, reliable and confident individuals to support students' learning and maintain high classroom standards when teachers are absent.
This is a great opportunity for anyone with previous school experience, graduates exploring a career in education, or those keen to gain the experience needed for future teacher training. (GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above are required.) There are also opportunities to support SEN students for those with an interest or passion in this area.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain positive behaviour and ensure students remain engaged in lessons
- Deliver and supervise pre-prepared work set by the class teacher
- Build strong, professional relationships with students and staff
- Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards at all times
Ideal Candidate
- Experience working in a school or educational environment
- Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting young people
- Confidence in managing behaviour and creating a productive learning atmosphere
- Ability to commute to Reading
