Cover Supervisor (Secondary Schools)
Location: Tameside, Gorton & Denton Start Date: September Job Type: Flexible / Full-time / Part-time Pay: £100 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to manage classrooms during teacher absences. You will supervise students and ensure they remain focused on pre-set work.
This role is ideal for individuals with school or youth experience who are considering a future in teaching.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials Ensure students stay on task and engaged Manage classroom behaviour confidently Provide feedback to teaching staff after lessons Support the smooth running of the school day
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with young people (schools, youth work, coaching, mentoring, etc.) Strong behaviour management skills essential Confident, professional presence in the classroom Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments Good communication and organisational skills Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
