Absolute Recruit
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the Credit Control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt and maintaining strong client relationships within a fast-paced events business.
Working closely with project teams and key stakeholders, you will play a vital role in supporting cash flow and managing customer accounts.
This is an ongoing temporary position
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the sales ledger and day-to-day credit control activities.
- Chase outstanding payments via phone and email.
- Build strong client relationships and resolve payment queries.
- Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
- Produce aged debt reports and monitor outstanding balances.
- Support cash flow forecasting, month-end processes, and reporting.
- Assist the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
Skills & Experience
- 2-3 years' experience in Credit Control or a similar finance role.
- Experience within events, media, creative, or project-based industries is essential.
- You are available immediately.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Good Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
