A well-established business in York is looking to strengthen its finance team with the addition of a driven and proactive Credit Controller.
This role is a 6 month contract.
- A strong candidate for this position will need:
- AAT qualified to minimum level 3 or qualified by experience
- Confident communicating with customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong understanding of cash collection, aged debt management, and account reconciliation
- A proactive attitude, with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
The duties of this role include:
- Managing the sales ledger and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt
- Chasing overdue payments via phone and email in a professional manner
- Allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts
- Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
- Building strong relationships with both customers and internal teams
- Assisting with improving credit control procedures and processes
