Elevate Search is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a well-established and successful business to recruit an experienced Credit Controller.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and collaborative finance team where you'll play a key role in improving cash collection performance, building strong customer relationships and supporting the wider business.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment and thrives on resolving customer queries, building relationships and making a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own portfolio of customer accounts.
- Proactively collect outstanding debt whilst maintaining excellent customer relationships.
- Investigate and resolve customer invoice and account queries.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Operations and Customer Services.
- Monitor aged debt and implement effective collection strategies.
- Produce aged debt reports and provide regular updates to the Credit Manager.
- Allocate cash receipts and reconcile customer accounts.
- Review customer accounts against agreed credit terms.
- Support month-end reporting and cash collection performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce aged debt.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous Credit Control experience within a commercial environment.
- Experience managing a high-volume sales ledger.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to manage difficult conversations professionally.
- Experience resolving customer account and invoice queries.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using Sage would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A positive, proactive approach and a genuine desire to improve processes.
