We are seeking an experienced Customer Services Officer to join our Supported Housing team. This office-based role is essential for delivering high-quality, responsive service to our residents, visitors, and internal colleagues. As a key front-facing contact, you will support the smooth operation of housing services while upholding excellent customer service standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for enquiries, both face-to-face and via telephone.
- Provide professional reception and administrative services within a supported housing setting.
- Log and coordinate repairs and maintenance requests with relevant teams and contractors.
- Assist housing staff with general administration, record keeping, and correspondence.
- Help with rent payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage databases and produce basic reports as required.
- Handle bookings for facilities and support reception cover.
- Attend meetings, take minutes, and ensure all safeguarding responsibilities are upheld.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong customer service experience and good organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, people-focused environment.
- Understanding of people with complex needs.
- Experience in maintaining accurate records and handling sensitive information.
- Knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
- Proficiency in IT (Microsoft Office) and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Capable of assessing difficult situations and providing effective solutions.
- Previous experience in a housing association is desirable.
- Experience working with figures and a basic understanding of spreadsheets and databases is advantageous.
