We're hiring a Data Architect to define and implement an organisation-wide data strategy, building a modern, scalable, and AI-ready data platform. Description
- Define and lead the enterprise data strategy, governance model, and data policies
- Design and implement scalable data architecture across multiple business domains (HR, Finance, Commercial, CRM)
- Build and integrate data pipelines, semantic layers, and canonical data models
- Enable AI and advanced analytics use cases, ensuring data is clean, modelled, and lineage-tracked
- Shape the data platform roadmap (Azure ecosystem: Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, etc.)
- Establish data governance frameworks, including metadata management, stewardship, and compliance (GDPR)
- Act as the subject matter expert for data architecture, influencing senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Promote ethical and sustainable data practices, including responsible AI principles
Profile
- Proven experience (8+ years) in data architecture and enterprise data strategy
- Strong background in cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred)
- Expertise in data governance, modelling, metadata, and data lineage
- Experience integrating multiple enterprise systems (e.g., HR, Finance, CRM, operational systems)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data concepts into business outcomes
- Experience preparing data platforms for AI / ML use cases
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Relevant certifications (Azure, CDMP, TOGAF) are advantageous
Job Offer
- Day rate ranging from £600-800 per day (Inside IR35) depending on experience
- Hybrid working – London based office
- 6 month contract
