Data Protection Manager
Location: Stockton-on-Tees (Hybrid)
An established organisation in the North East is looking to appoint a Data Protection Manager to lead data protection and information governance across the organisation.
This is an opportunity to take full ownership of data protection, working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure compliance while supporting the practical use of data across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data protection and information governance activities across the organisation
- Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and related legislation
- Manage data breaches, DPIAs and data sharing arrangements
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures and frameworks
- Provide advice and guidance to staff and senior leaders
- Deliver training and awareness programmes
About You
- Experience in data protection, information governance, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of GDPR and data privacy regulations
- Confident working with stakeholders and providing practical guidance
- Experience with DPIAs, SARs, breaches and compliance frameworks
- Awareness of data governance within systems such as Microsoft 365
