Salary: £34,000 plus £6,000 car allowance plus performance bonus
Primary Purpose of Role
The Debt Resolution Officer represents Richburns by delivering face-to-face debt resolution services for utility company clients. The role involves visiting customers to resolve outstanding gas and/or electricity balances through constructive conversations and tailored repayment solutions.
The Debt Resolution Officer works collaboratively with customers to understand their circumstances and agree fair, sustainable outcomes, while maintaining high standards of customer care, compliance, and brand representation using our market-leading technology.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
The role involves visiting customer premises to engage face-to-face, assess individual circumstances, gather relevant information, and agree appropriate repayment or resolution options for gas and/or electricity accounts.
You’ll accurately record visit outcomes using our handheld technology, provide clear information and signposting where needed, and carry out authorised actions in line with compliance requirements. The role requires a professional, adaptable approach when dealing with a wide range of customer situations. Full training, structured onboarding, and ongoing support from a Field Area Manager and Quality Assurance Team are provided.

You must not have a criminal record and will be required to undergo a DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) and Credit Reference Check.
This role is predominantly field based, and all applicants are required to hold a full clean driving license and their own motor vehicle with adequate insurance.
