Excellent opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering consultancy working on technically challenging electro-mechanical products, offering the chance to take designs from concept through to manufacture whilst gaining international exposure and long-term career progression.
Are you a Design Engineer with experience using SolidWorks in a manufacturing or production environment? Do you have an interest in electro-mechanical systems and enjoy taking ownership of projects from concept through to testing and certification? This company is a highly respected engineering consultancy specialising in the design and development of specialist technologies. Operating globally and forming part of a growing international engineering group, they provide technical expertise, product development and consultancy services to customers around the world.
In this role, you will be involved in every stage of the design process, from concept generation and detailed design through to simulation, prototyping, testing, certification and production support. Working within a close-knit engineering team, you will collaborate with technical and manufacturing teams across multiple international locations while helping develop innovative electro-mechanical products for global markets.

The Role:
- Designing electro-mechanical products and systems using SolidWorks
- Producing detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
- Carrying out design validation through simulation, testing and development activities
- Supporting prototype build, testing and certification projects
- Creating and updating installation, operation and maintenance documentation
- £45,000 – £60,000 + International Travel + Hybrid Working + Pension + Life Assurance + Extensive Training & Development + Early Friday Finish
The Person:
- Senior Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer or Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer
- Minimum 5 years' experience using 3D CAD software within a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD packages
- Lives locally to Nottingham or willing to commute
