Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a respected secondary school in the Bridgwater area to recruit a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher, with a specialism in Food Technology.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a committed educator who is looking to join a supportive school environment and deliver engaging, practical lessons that make a real impact.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong focus on Food Technology.
The role will involve:
- Delivering practical, engaging, and creative lessons
- Developing students' understanding of nutrition, health, and food preparation
- Promoting creativity, independence, and problem-solving
- Contributing to a broad and balanced DT curriculum
- Supporting students to develop real-life skills for the future
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Design & Technology at KS3 and KS4
- Ability to deliver Food Technology confidently
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A creative and engaging teaching style
- A positive, resilient attitude and strong work ethic
- A team player who contributes to a supportive department
- A firm belief that all students can succeed
