We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Despatch Assistant to join a well-established manufacturer of premium bespoke furniture. If you're hands-on, take pride in your work and enjoy being part of a close-knit team, this could be the perfect opportunity.

This varied role combines warehouse duties, quality checking and occasional customer deliveries, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of responsibilities and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities of the Despatch Assistant

  • Inspecting finished furniture and panels before despatch.
  • Carefully wrapping and preparing products for delivery.
  • Loading vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Reading work instructions and technical drawings.
  • Assisting with deliveries to customers' homes when required.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.
  • Working independently while supporting the wider production team.

What we're looking for

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable with manual handling and physical work.
  • Able to read work instructions and technical drawings.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when available.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable for occasional delivery support.
