We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Despatch Assistant to join a well-established manufacturer of premium bespoke furniture. If you're hands-on, take pride in your work and enjoy being part of a close-knit team, this could be the perfect opportunity.
This varied role combines warehouse duties, quality checking and occasional customer deliveries, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of responsibilities and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.
Key responsibilities of the Despatch Assistant
- Inspecting finished furniture and panels before despatch.
- Carefully wrapping and preparing products for delivery.
- Loading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Reading work instructions and technical drawings.
- Assisting with deliveries to customers' homes when required.
- Maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.
- Working independently while supporting the wider production team.
What we're looking for
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work.
- Able to read work instructions and technical drawings.
- Flexibility to work overtime when available.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable for occasional delivery support.
