Overview
A leading international investment platform is seeking an experienced ETF Sales Director to drive capital raising and distribution across its ETF business. This role will focus on building and expanding investor relationships across institutional channels, with a core mandate to grow AUM through strategic sales initiatives.
The position is suited to a senior sales professional with a strong network across European institutional investors and a deep understanding of ETF products and their role within portfolio construction.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising & Distribution
- Lead fundraising efforts across Europe for a suite of ETF strategies across institutional investors, including pension funds, insurers, wealth platforms, family offices, and consultants.
- Develop and execute a targeted distribution strategy to drive net new inflows and increase market penetration.
- Position ETFs as core building blocks within client portfolios, articulating investment rationale and use cases.
Client Coverage
- Build and manage senior relationships across institutional and intermediary investor segments.
- Engage with CIOs, portfolio managers, research teams, and investment committees.
- Deliver tailored presentations, fund updates, and market insights to support client allocations.
Business Development
- Identify new distribution channels and strategic partnerships to expand the ETF investor base.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to bring new ETF strategies to market aligned with investor demand.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities.
Market Positioning & Thought Leadership
- Act as a market ambassador, representing the firm at industry events, roadshows, and client forums.
- Provide insights on ETF trends, portfolio implementation, and evolving investor preferences.
- Support the development of marketing materials and sales collateral.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with investment, product, and marketing teams to ensure alignment between product offering and investor demand.
- Provide feedback from clients to inform product development and strategy positioning.
- Coordinate with internal sales teams across regions to drive cross-border opportunities.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven track record in ETF or investment product sales, with a strong focus on institutional distribution.
- Established network across pensions, insurers, asset allocators, wealth managers, and family offices.
- Strong understanding of ETF structures, passive and active strategies, and portfolio applications.
- Demonstrated ability to raise assets and manage complex client relationships.
- Highly commercial mindset with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to operate independently while contributing to a broader sales strategy.
