Recruit4staff are representing a well-established mechanical engineering and building services contractor in their search for a Domestic Gas Engineer to work across Liverpool, Warrington, Manchester and Preston.
Job Details:
- Pay: £40,000 per annum (£150 on-call allowance, enhanced overtime rates after 40 hours)
- Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm (start times may vary). On-call rota 1 week in 4.
- Duration: Permanent
- Benefits: Company van and fuel card, laptop/iPad, uniform provided, standard pension, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, ongoing Commercial Gas training opportunities.
Job Role: As a Domestic Gas Engineer, you will travel to schools, retail properties and office buildings throughout the North West carrying out planned maintenance and servicing. The Domestic Gas Engineer will service boilers, radiators, water heaters and cooking appliances, undertake plumbing tasks, complete inspections and preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair faults, respond to emergency call-outs on a one-week-in-four rota and complete electronic reports using a company iPad.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a Domestic Gas Engineer
- Full UK Driving Licence
- NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating
- NVQ Level 3 Gas Installation & Maintenance
- ACS Domestic Gas qualifications (CCN1)
- Current Gas Safe Registration
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
- Experience working within schools, retail or office buildings
- Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
