About the Opportunity
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Drama Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school on an immediate basis. This role begins as a temporary position running through to the end of the academic year, with a clear pathway to a permanent contract starting in September.This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and committed teacher to inspire students through the performing arts and contribute to a thriving department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and imaginative Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Encourage student creativity, confidence, and performance skills
- Plan and assess lessons in line with curriculum expectations.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support extracurricular activities such as school productions (desirable)
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching in a UK secondary school
- Strong subject expertise in Drama and performing arts
- Effective behaviour management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for inspiring young people through Drama
